Pre-Ultraman Arc

Takako is depicted as a gentle mother. Sixteen years ago, when the Hize family was in Mt. Shishio, they encountered the "K-DAY" incident that appeared all over the world at the same time. They witnessed the appearance of Monogelos and the arrival of the giant of light. While trying to escape, they were attacked by Monogelos. To protect Yuma, Takako and Tetsuya were hit by falling rocks and severely injured. They encouraged Yuma to leave and find safety. However, when rescue personnel arrived three days later, Takako and Tetsuya had tragically perished in the disaster.
After his parents passed away, Yuma lived with his grandmother, Masumi Hize. However, whenever he felt sad, he would remember something Takako had once told him: "When you're sad, look to the moon." Even when the moon isn't visible, it's always watching over us. She wished for her son to grow up to be someone who, like the moon, would protect everyone. This longing for his mother inspired the lonely Yuma to channel his feelings into art, continually drawing the "The Ultimate Hero" as a symbol of his belief.
Ultraman Arc
In the series, Takako and Tetsuya appear in photographs. Yuma hung their family photo in his room.
During the Homger incident, Yuma learned that Homger's ecological trait was to transfer her explosive energy to her offspring to sustain life. After transforming into Ultraman Arc, he tried to move the enraged Homger to a safer location. However, Homger absorbed the barrier's energy, causing her body to glow, signaling the countdown to her explosion. As Arc looked up at the moon, Yuma’s heart filled with prayers.
In that moment, Yuma remembered his mother’s words echoing in his mind: "Be someone like the moon, who can protect everyone." At that very moment, the gem on his forehead began to shine, and the Luna Cube appeared, granting Ultraman Arc a new form, the "Luna Armor." The Full Moon's Answer
In the dreamlike world constructed by Guilebaku and Sweed, Sweed created an illusion where Takako and Tetsuya had never died during K-Day. Using these false versions of Takako and Tetsuya, She tried to lure Yuma into abandoning his mission to save Earth and surrender to the dreamlike world.
However, as Yuma struggled with his inner, the real Takako and Tetsuya appeared—their consciousness residing with in Rution. They encouraged Yuma, and with the words, "Time to run, Yuma!," reignited his determination. With their support, Yuma transformed into Ultraman Arc, and fought for the future of Earth. Time to Run, Yuma!
