Osamu Tasaki

Osamu Tasaki (田崎 修, Tasaki Osamu)[1] is a minor supporting character in Ultraman Taiga. He was a new recruit at EGIS, but left by the end of the episode.

History

Ultraman Taiga

During Zetton's attack, Osamu's mother was injured and had to be hospitalized. Following this incident, Osamu develops a hatred towards all aliens. He decides to join EGIS so that he could personally deal with aliens himself. During his interview, he tells Kana Sasaki that he wanted to join so that he could defeat aliens, but he is told that the work of EGIS is to protect the client, no matter who they are. He is allowed to work on probation and is assigned as Hiroyuki Kudo's junior.

He steals the CQ device that Professor Sachiko Motomiya built in the previous episode so that he can search for aliens by himself. He visits his mother in the hospital, where Kirisaki was waiting for him. Kirisaki tells Osamu that he noticed "someone suspicious", and asks to follow him. They use the CQ device to identify an Alien Ghose and corner him. Kirisaki approaches first and whispers to the alien, asking to borrow the drill missile on his spaceship, but the request is denied and he is pushed over. Seeing this, Osamu chased the Ghoes into the forest.

Due to his use of CQ, the other EGIS members are able to get Osamu's location. Homare Soya confronts him when he pins down the Ghose for seemingly no reason other than it being an alien, but Osamu does not listen. The Ghose knocks out Homare and speaks to Osamu through him, explaining that he didn't do anything wrong. Osamu still refuses to listen and electrocutes him. Hearing its master in distress, Pandon emerges from inside a mountain. The Ghose tells Osamu that he and Pandon are the same; angry because someone hurt their parent. Eventually, Osamu let go of his grudge and released the Ghoes. After the battle, Osamu apologized to the alien. He leaves EGIS to take care of his mother, and watched as the Ghose flew away in his spaceship. Friend in Earth
