Nana Kujo (九条 ナナ, Kujō Nana) is a minor character in Ultraman Taiga. She is a member of the space station and the wife of Rento Kujo.

History

Pre-Ultraman Taiga

Nana Kujo 04

Nana and her husband were members of ASKA, a pair of rigorously trained astronauts. According to newspaper reports, both Nana and Rento had undergone intense astronaut training. About a year ago, after meeting and falling in love, they held their wedding ceremony just a few months later. Subsequently, they took part in the mission of the lunar space station "Full Moon Express," where they utilized ropes to guide space debris into the atmosphere for controlled combustion. This mission was expected to last approximately half a year. Prior to departure, they had expressed, "Being able to journey into space is a dream for both of us. Today, that dream has come true. At this moment, we should feel joyful."

However, on the evening of the thirteenth day, at 7 PM, while they were executing the "Full Moon Express" mission, communication with Earth suddenly ceased. In reality, the lunar space station collided with a rocket launched into space to celebrate the birthday of Cozmo Technica's CEO, Kouichi Imazato. This collision triggered a massive explosion, resulting in the immediate loss of Nana and Rento's lives.

Ultraman Taiga

Empowered by Ulteaman Tregear, Rento adrift in space, is bestowed with new life, becoming a puppet seeking vengeance against Imazato. One month later, during an interview with Imazato, Rento breaks in and attempts to assassinate him, only to be protected by EGIS members Hiroyuki Kudo and Homare Soya.

As Rento transforms into Galactron MK2 fueled by rage, Hiroyuki morphs into Ultraman Taiga to engage in battle. Suddenly, a light from space emanates Ultraman Titas, bringing forth Nana's spirit and freeing Rento from within Galactron MK2.

Upon their reunion, Nana tells Rento that his hatred has awakened a demon, while her own strong desire has summoned a sage. After establishing contact with Titas, she hopes to prevent Rento's quest for revenge and desires he to let go of his vengeance-driven fixation. Despite Rento's struggle to come to terms with each other's deaths, Nana still clings to the notion of "guarding the Earth from space," hoping to keep the two of them together forever.

After expressing gratitude to Titas, this couple ultimately fades away into the afterlife, no longer seeking vengeance. Avenger of the Star
