Hasegawa made his debut onstage in 1977 and on TV in the 1978 film Kiga Kaikyō.[1]
Hasegawa was told to come to an audition for Ultraman 80 by a producer, without knowing what he was auditioning for. Upon finding out he was going to play a tokusatsu hero, he asked for more time to think about it despite having already arrived late to the audition, which annoyed the staff, so he was surprised when he ultimately got the role.[2]
Personal Life
While being bullied at elementary school, Hasegawa took up kendo to become stronger and won tournaments.[1]
Hasegawa is married and has one son.
