Bango is a Kaiju that first appeared in Ultraman Leo episode 12.

Ultraman Leo
An underground monster named Bango had been in hibernation for 150 million years before awakening. He was first attacked by a hunter, Saburo Sato, who was disguised as an aborigine. The hunter launched his spear at Bango's nostril, causing the monster to retreat underground. Recognizing the threat Bango posed, the hunter was assigned to the Monster Attack Crew (MAC) to help stop him.
During a patrol, the team accidentally discovered Bango when his nostril surfaced. Sato inadvertently dropped a rice ball, followed by himself and his cigarette, into Bango's nostril, causing the monster's body to fully emerge. Bango then fled to the city, where he used a tower to strike several buildings. His rampage continued towards a freeway, an oil refinery, and finally an amusement park.
Sato realized that Bango was mimicking his actions all along. To exploit this, he ordered Gen Otori to pump his uniform with hydrogen, making him float like a balloon. Bango mimicked this by inflating his body as well. When Sato smoked, Bango grabbed a factory chimney and tried to smoke too. The air Bango absorbed caused Sato to be blown away, but Gen quickly rescued him as Ultraman Leo.
In the ensuing battle, Leo targeted Bango's feet, knocking him down. He then blew on Bango's tail, causing the monster to inflate and fly away. After the battle, Sato bid farewell to the team and departed for the Himalayas to search for a yeti.

- Bango uses a sped up Gabora roar.
- In his early design, Bango's tail was a balloon instead of a balloon blower.
- In Mega Monster Battle Ultra Galaxy: The Movie, Bango was revealed to be one of the monsters that forms Belyudra's body.

- Burrowing: Bango can burrow through the ground at moderate speeds. Bango, however, completely submerges his body and usually keeps only his nostrils above the ground.
- Body Preservation: Bango can preserve his body without decaying for millions of years during his sleeping period.
- Nasal Steam: Bango can blow hot steam out of his nose.
- Steam Breath: Bango can exhale a strong stream of steam from his mouth that can blow smaller enemies away.
- Balloon Body: Bango can inflate his stomach and cheeks in an attempt to fly away, but this does not always work.
- Adaptation: Bango can take any objects and turn them into weapons such as towers into bats and oil tanks into a bomb.
