Vorpal was a mean villain that was incarcerated in Yew at the time of Ultima IV.
The Stranger found him inside the felon's jail in the Court of Justice. Vorpal was very rude to the hero, saying that he ate people who bugged him, like the Stranger. He then asked if the hero was there to bug him. If the Stranger said he was, Vorpal told the hero to "eat death, scum puppy", and attacked.
The Rune of Justice was hidden inside his cell.
