Description and History
Carthax Lake once had been part of the sea, but centuries ago, Kalen managed in his campaign against Hydros to close the Blackrock-enriched walls, making most of the lake fall dry. Hydros was trapped within her temple in the middle of the lake, and forced to give the Tempests power.
When the Avatar entered the area, Hydros offered great power in return for allowing the lake to be filled. The Avatar did this by breaking the grave of Kalen's beloved which held the water back. The lake filled and Hydros broke her word and left.
