Academic City Slur (学術都市スラー, Gakujutsu Toshi Surā?), publicly known as Slur Street, is an area in London, England under Clock Tower control for usage as the campus of the Department of Modern Magecraft Theory.
Characteristics
Slur is the location of the Department of Modern Magecraft Theory's classroom and dormitory buildings. It is a street with archaic buildings on its western side, and modern looking buildings on its eastern side which is closer to London. All the buildings, both modern and archaic, look cheap because of the Modern Magecraft department's lack of funding.[1]
Slur is within walking distance of both Druid Street where Lord El-Melloi II's apartment is located, and the El-Melloi mansion where Reines El-Melloi Archisorte lives.[2]
History
Ten years prior to the events of Lord El-Melloi II's Case Files, the area had been nothing but a neighborhood coincidentally close to the Clock Tower. As students from the Department of Modern Magecraft continued to flock to the area, the Mage's Association caved in to their need for a space of their own and bought up the whole area, but forwarded all the cost of the endeavor to the Department of Modern Magecraft itself.[3]
Before Lord El-Melloi II took over the Department, Slur was the residency of its previous dean, Doctor Heartless.[4]
