Lorenz Trendel (ロレンツ・トレンデル, Rorentsu Torenderu?) is a magus acting as the guardian of Harriet Frise in Mahou Tsukai no Hako.

Background
The magus thought to be the mastermind behind the events of Starlit Marmalade. Lorenz is a former priest who used to run his own church as a priest until ten years ago, when the Holy Church destroyed it. According to official records, he should be dead.
Appearance
Personality
A man of calm and frank attitude. A mature man acting as Harriet’s guardian that faces some trouble when dealing with Harriet at her rebellious age. Nevertheless, he looks after her as though Harriet was his daughter, to the point of worrying over her attending a school apt for her age and whether she’ll be able to hang out with friends. Harriet calls him “Papa”, but Lorenz says that he’s not fit to replace her father.
On the other hand, his exchange of words with Marie is somewhat dry. Constantly compares her achievements/performance with Triten, claiming that “Fakers are just fakers” and “You cannot replace the real thing”.
