CITV (short for Children's ITV) was a British free-to-air children's television channel from ITV Digital Channels Ltd, a division of ITV plc.
Tugs was co-produced by Television South and broadcast on Tuesday afternoons from 4 April 1989 to 27 June 1989 during the Stonewall era, each broadcast presented by Jerry Foulkes and Scally. It premiered on the same week as Rolf's Cartoon Club. A picture of Jerry drawn by Rolf was even hung on the wall in the background when the show was introduced for the first time.
The Tyne Tees documentary Movie Magic featured Gaz Top at Shepperton Studios with a behind the scenes look at the episode, Up River.
