The Drain is a hollow in the land near the China Clay workings where rainwater sometimes collects.
History
The line through the Drain was opened in 1948 alongside the China Clay workings, connecting them to Brendam.
During the winter of 1988-9, Ben was swamped by a wave while passing through the Drain, which extinguished his fire. While Bill pulled away his trucks, Thomas tugged Ben out of the water and took him to Brendam.
