Poorly Henry! is a read and colour magazine story.
Plot
One morning, Henry wakes up and has a large sneeze. He had overheard talk of hay fever and feels that could be the causes of it. He tries to tell The Fat Controller not to send him down lines that could aggravate his illness but The Fat Controller tells him engines do not get hay fever and sends Henry off to work, where he protests to his driver everytime he passes fields of flowers.
Next morning, Henry feels better in terms of his supposed hay fever but now his wheels ache. This time Henry pleads not to climb any hills but his fireman cannot find anything wrong after inspecting the wheels. The other engines, The Fat Controller and even his crew grow tired of Henry's complaints.
On Saturday, it is Henry's turn to pull "The Seaside Special". Gordon teases Henry by asking if he's feeling well but Henry says he feels fine. Halfway through the journey, however, Henry begins to feel terrible pain in his boiler. His driver brushes it off but it is not long before Henry breaks down. Gordon takes the passengers and Diesel brings Henry home. Henry feels very sorry for himself and agrees with The Fat Controller that if he had not complained so much, the others would have believed him.
