About 60 are preserved.

B1054X1
B1054X1 is the registration number of an orange low loader lorry that transported Thomas to the National Railway Museum in York.
At first, Thomas was horrified to be carried by a lorry. However, he enjoyed travelling through the countryside from a different point of view. Unfortunately, the lorry's driver was unsure of his way and parked the lorry in the wrong place to find a telephone. A traffic warden would later book the disgruntled lorry driver a parking ticket.

Container Lorries
A blue lorry once brought a container of sleepers for the Arlesdale Railway. However, the lorry was too large and could not get into the yard. So Jock had to haul the lorry's trailer instead.
A green container lorry with a grey trailer also appeared in the story Gordon Proves His Point in the Railway series book, Gordon the High-Speed Engine.
Another green low loader lorry of a similar design was once seen carrying Diesel in the Thomas & Friends magazine story, Road Ride.
