London is the capital city of the Mainland. The Wild Nor' Wester provides an express passenger service from Sodor to London and visa versa.
History
Gordon, Duck and the Big City Engine once argued about the name of London's big station, with Gordon thinking it was King's Cross, while the Big Engine believed it was Euston and Duck believed it was Paddington, as he used to work there. When Gordon got to pull a derailed engine's train to London, he arrived at St. Pancras and was disappointed to find out that it was not King's Cross, not realising that there were many stations in London.
In 2011, Sir Stephen Topham Hatt III purchased Pip and Emma to run the Wild Nor' Wester directly from Sodor to London and vice versa.
