Plot
All the engines are ready to go, except Duck who waits for his driver. Just then, he comes running because the alarm clock was broken and Sir Topham Hatt warns him that it will never happen again. Duck's driver promises to get the alarm clock fixed. Thomas wants to help, so he sets out to find an answer. Along the way, he sees the 'sold' sign by the farm gate and hears the cockerel crowing loudly. The farmer states that he is retiring and moving to town, and he has trouble finding a new home for the cockerel, named Rooster, because it is so noisy. Thomas' driver has an idea and so, the farmer takes Rooster to Duck's driver's cottage. Next morning, Duck's driver wakes up very early and Duck is ready and raring to go, all except the engines, who are yawning sleepily.
