Harold's Cousin is a magazine story.
Plot
One day, Thomas is making his way down his branch line when he suddenly gains a cheeky idea. Annie and Clarabel wonder what Thomas has planned but are told by him to wait and see.
In the afternoon, Thomas and his coaches pass the airfield where Harold is resting. Harold asks Thomas how he is doing and Thomas replies that he is fine. He then adds that Harold's cousin is also fine. Harold is very confused and tries to tell Thomas he has no cousins but Thomas puffs away, laughing.
The next day, Thomas once again brings up Harold's cousin when passing the airfield. Harold snaps at Thomas who just keeps on joking, saying Harold's cousin has whirly arms like Harold but stands differently from him. Harold is fed up and then follows Thomas to see what he is talking about. Thomas stops when he comes to the windmill and Harold has to laugh.
