Plot
Daisy is proud of being a modern diesel railcar and enjoys boasting of how much cleaner diesel fuel is than coal. The other engines are fond of Daisy, but wish she would not boast.
One morning, Duck and James smell something funny in the shed. James thinks it is coming from Daisy, much to the latter's annoyance. She is very glad when her driver arrives and takes her out of the shed in a hurry. She decides not to tell her driver about the smell and is glad to forget about it.
When Daisy arrives at the station, her passengers remark that she is a couple of minutes late. Later, as Daisy reaches the new tunnel, she begins to feel faint and loses power in the middle of the dark tunnel. Daisy's driver performs an inspection and finds she has a leaky fuel line.
Edward has to come with two coaches to pick up Daisy's passengers and take them to work, while Duck takes her back to the yard. James and Duck are both very amused by Daisy's situation and bet she wishes she ran on coal now.
