An anime adaptation of the series was announced via a wraparound band on Volume 18 of the manga on September 12, 2016, and was later confirmed to be a television series. It premiered in April 2017. The was directed and scripts written by Ryōichi Kuraya at studio Zero-G, Yasuharu Takanashi is composing the music at Pony Canyon.[1]
Crunchyroll obtained streaming rights to the series which can be viewed on their website for those in North America, Latin America, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Europe, the Middle East and North Africa. Funimation released an english dub as part of their SimulDub program, available for streaming on Crunchyroll.[2]
On March 6 2019, a second season titled Tsugu Tsugumomo was announced, scheduled to air in 2020, along with an OVA.[3]
