The Masked DJ's are programs that are capable of both playing and creating music.

History

EOLMaskedDJ2

The Masked DJ's are first seen at Castor's End of Line Club, where they perform for the patrons from within a windowed booth overlooking the dance floor.

They initially played sedative music, but when the Black Guards arrived, they followed Castor's instructions to "alter the mood" with a more energetic piece as the patrons were getting derezzed. They remained in their booth throughout the ensuing events, although they had evidently left, along with the surviving patrons, by the time Clu arrived.

General information

Physical appearance

The Masked DJ's wear white suits with several lines of white circuitry, and robotic helmets.

Trivia

  • DJ.exe from TRON 2.0 serves a similar purpose as the Masked DJ's of TRON: Legacy.
  • They are based on the French electronic duo Daft Punk, who also composed the soundtrack for the entire film. In reality, Daft Punk's real names are Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter.
