Arjia City was regarded as the spiritual center of the Grid. It was home to both Basics and ISOs, known collectively as Arjians. It was created in TC146 by an Alpha-class ISO named Jalen to house a growing number of devotees to purported oracle Radia. Arjia is strategically located directly over the codestream nexus.

Arjia was the site of the largest attack on ISO-friendly locations by Clu and his forces during the Purge, eventually leading to the city's destruction. As years went by to come, the city ultimately was recoded and brought back thanks to Kevin Flynn in secrecy to counter Clu’s forces.

Well-known locations within Arjia included the Hub and Codestream Nexus.

Trivia

  • The name of the city, Arjia, may be a reference to Buddhist teacher Arjia Rinpoche, in keeping with Kevin Flynn's Zen leanings. It was pronounced as "Arza" by Zuse.
  • The population in 1989 was 512,486. It later years resurfaced surpassing Tron City with 17,486,579.
  • Arjia City is a futuristic New York City.
