General Facts

• Her father is Taiwanese, and her mother is Vietnamese.
  • Nien's paternal grandmother is a Hakka person, therefore making her 1/4 Hakka.^[2][3]
• She is a former contestant on MNET survival show, Girls Planet 999. She was eliminated on episode 8, ranking C15.
• She can speak fluently in Mandarin, Vietnamese and Korean.
• She is close friends with Rona from ILY:1, Huening Bahiyyih from Kep1er, and Hwiseo from H1KEY.
• She is the first Taiwanese-Vietnamese member and third foreigner member.
• She is the fourth member that came from a survival show.
• Her individual fandom name is TzuMei/HsuMei (草莓/츠메이) which sounds similar to strawberry. 莓 (mei) which means berry sounds similar to 美(mei) which means beautiful, and using 許 (Hsu) or 慈 (Tzu), before it sounds similar to CaoMei (草莓), strawberry.

• She loves broccoli, considering it as her comfort food.^[7][8][9]
• She is a fast runner.
  • In the first mission of Strong Girl: Badge War Season 2 Ep. 1, she was the first member to cross the mudflats and reach the first badge.
  • During her participation in the Women's Athletics of the 2024 Idol Star Athletics Championships (ISAC) Chuseok Special, she ran the fastest among all players in the preliminary round.^[10] While she was predicted to win the finals by commentators, she was eventually overtaken by Kep1er's Xiaoting and finished in second place, receiving the silver medal.
• In relation to her athleticism, Nien is known for having muscular biceps, as they are easily noticeable whenever she flexes her arm. It is a feat that she claimed she was born with.^[11]
