Nightlife
Manchester has a thriving bar and club scene, with over 400 licensed bars and pubs, and 200 nightclub venues within the city centre alone. The Northern Quarter is home to an eclectic collection of bars, and the infamous Sankeys club. The Mint Lounge (Oldham Street) is also a good club in that area. The newly opened Cloud 23 is the citys first Skybar, whilst the nearby Deansgate Locks has six bars side-by-side for more drinking fun.
The Gay Village, located next to Manchesters Chinatown, is a mishmash of bars and nightclubs, alongside some award-winning restaurants. The nearby Oxford Road runs from the city centre to Rusholme, and is also home to many of the citys bars and clubs.
