Islamabad is the capital of Pakistan. The city was planned and constructed under the guidance of the Greek urban planner, Constantinos A. Doxiadis. The city is one among the most beautiful cities in this part of the globe: it is rather spacious containing four sub-sectors, each one separated by green belts and parks. The city was constructed in the region of the Potohar Plateau in the northwest of Pakistan and is located within the Islamabad Capital Territory. Historically, this area has served as a gateway to the North West Frontier Province of Pakistan. Islamabad with a population of about one million has an urbane culture and being the capital city of Pakistan represents a real cultural milieu of Pakistani culture.
