Haetae

The Haetae is a giant red colored creature that appeared when young Lo Po Bia Yasratcha visited the Lo Po Bia Family Mothership for the first time.[1]

History

Vol.3 Ch.201 - Haetae and Traumerei

Originally belong to Lo Po Bia Traumerei, he would gift this special Shinheuh to Lo Po Bia Kirin, one of his oldest surviving sons in recognition to his talent, power and competence as the Lo Po Bia Family’s general manager and leader as Traumerei’s representative. The Haetae itself is known to be an extremely powerful Shinheuh and is well known amongst High Rankers alongside Kirin.[2]

Traumerei had used the Haetae to create beautiful fireworks during his house warming party to celebrate the completion of his Floating Palace in the distant past. [3]

Appearance and Design

Kirin's shinheuh looks like a red weird-looking lion with two long horns, big eyes, big nose, big mouth with two of its specific back-teeth pointing to outside direction. It has a tail and seems to be a four-legged creature. It has red skins and yellow shining feathers.[1]

Kirin has shown to give the Haetae verbal commands, implying to its intelligence and sentience.[4]

Powers and Abilities

Being a Shinheuh that's controlled by Lo Po Bia Kirin, the right-hand man of Family Head Lo Po Bia Traumerei, the shinheuh must had possesses strong abilities.

As stated by Po Bidau Tiara, the Haetae was one of Lo Po Bia Traumerei’s strongest Shinheuh, possessing powerful and unique abilities. One of these powers is its ability to generate a special red smoke that can easily melt the flesh of High Rankers. [5]

Real-Life Mythology

From Wikipedia: Qilin: The Qilin (English: /tʃiˈlɪn/ chee-LIN; Chinese: 麒麟) is a legendary hooved chimerical creature that appears in Chinese mythology, and is said to appear with the imminent arrival or passing of a sage or illustrious ruler. Qilin are a specific type of the lin mythological family of one-horned beasts. The qilin also appears in the mythologies of other cultures, such as Japanese and Korean mythology, where it is known as the "Kirin", and Vietnamese mythology, where it is known as the "Kỳ lân".

Korean Culture

Girin or kirin (기린) is the Korean form of qilin. It is described as a maned creature with the torso of a deer, an ox tail with the hooves of a horse. The girin were initially depicted as more deer-like, however over time they have transformed into more horse-like. They were one of the four divine creatures along with the dragon, phoenix and turtle. Girin were extensively used in Korean royal and Buddhist arts. In modern Korean, the term "girin" is used for "giraffe".
