Mitama (ミタマ) are one of the core mechanics of the Toukiden games. They are the souls of historically relevant people (mostly Japanese) and can offer useful Skills and Boosts to the Slayers.

DLC Mitama

Along with the numerous Mitama included in each game, there are also Mitama than can be obtained separately. They usually cost money, and many of them are exclusive to the Japanese or Chinese versions of the games.
Trivia
- Even in the English versions of the games, most Mitama have inverted names since the surname goes before the name in Japan and other Far East countries. It is unknown is this would be the case if other characters had surnames.
