The Upper Sky (上空 Jōkū) is the aerial borderline surrounding and separating the borders between the Human World and the Gourmet World.
Description
It is a devastating zone that is dotted with countless giant cyclones which form a gigantic wall that makes flight from the Human World to the Gourmet World impossible due to the sheer danger and power of the deadly dark cyclones that are always spinning in Upper Sky.[1]
Anime and Manga Differences
- In the anime, it is shown that Upper Sky appears to be created by the fumes of the Poison Tide, however the manga never indicates this.
