An experienced EDC commander from another reality, NATHAN BRIAR wishes to someday be just like his late cousin... only better. Growing up watching his older cousin in the limelight all the time, Nate could not help but aspire to follow the same path. While he does not support the Decepticons, he believes that not all of them need to be destroyed unless they are intent on killing. However, if he was engaged in combat, he will see to it that his targets are injured and downed. He has his own exo-suit that was modified with experimental weapon systems that his cousin Michael worked on. After gaining experience with experimental equipment, Nate accidentally ended up warping through reality to an Earth much like his own but different. Finding himself stranded, he has decided to assist this version's EDC.
History

Nate is from an alternative reality where events were similar but different this reality... This background is adjusted from the previous place.
Born on August 31, 2004, Nathan Essex Briar had an uneventful childhood and even up until graduating Rutgers with his masters in History. He saw his cousins during family reunions and constantly heard about the antics of Michael Briar. Because Mikey was the black sheep of the family, Nathan grew really interested in what made him different. After research and conversations, Nate decided he wanted to join his cousin in the epic battles against the Decepticons.
In 2024, Nate had managed to start putting together pieces of different EDC wreckage. This required the help of his college room mate, James Bailey. He had completed the new, prototype Glaive that has some new improvements. Nate and James quickly used this as their resume to join the EDC in early 2029 and eventually met a new recruit, Jayson Redfield. During operations in Russia in 2029, Michael Briar was killed in action by Galvatron.
Over time, Nate eventually became the general within the EDC ranks despite being fairly young. In 2035, Nate tried to use experimental technology that was a fusion of Cybertronian, human, and Nebulon sciences, parts, and machines to bring his upgraded Glaive to a battle on Cybertron to help the Autobots. As he entered the warp gate on his side, there was a quantum surge that altered his trajectory.
MUX History:
After the quantum surge and a failing warp gate, Nate found himself in orbit of Earth on January 17, 2022. His Glaive was unable to connect to the EDC proper communication links. Unsure of what happened and believing that his system was just glitching, Nate questioned why his computer terminal was showing a date that was 13 years in the past. He set forward to reenter Earth's atmosphere but noticed the landscapes did not seem familiar to him.
In 2024, Briar's rank of Commander was restored, and he was permanently assigned to the EDC.

Feb 09 - Reporting In!
"This is... former EDC General Nate Briar reporting in. As you know, I crashed into your reality a year ago. I have finished reading up on your history from this reality and trying get back to my reality as well. Unfortunately, it seems like I am stuck here... which might be for the best because the reality I came from was /darker/ and with a lot of issues. I am not even sure if it even is there anymore with how... the Decepticons were fighting and winning. We were trying experimental weapons to stop them at all costs.

- March 20 - "Call for Help" - Nate and Selena finally meet up to get her medical assistance.
- May 17 - "Pile of Rubbish" - The destruction of a F-117 Nighthawk
- May 17 - "Not The First Brig Time" - Nate visits Selena in the Joe brig.
- May 19 - "Of Communication And Confidences" - Selena gets visiting hours. Lifeline comes to offer books and quiet talk a s part of his new role as chaplain. Then others come to visit and question.
- May 20 - "Not The Coming Out Expected" - Sean wakes in the Pit's brig area after spending the night in a chair watching over Selena in her cell. Meggan talks him into coming out to at least eat something and a the conversation winds, some disturbing ideas are revealed.

If Greathawk has been indeed injured, I would like a crack at who or whatever is responsible for this. If this 'Cobra' agency that we are dealing with is involved, I guess it's time I finally meet them. I am normally against taking shots on other humans when the Cybertronians are the bigger threat but I am willing to make an exception. I would like names, places, and other information so I can do what you hired me to do. As a mercenary sniper, my sole purpose is to extinguish the existence of my new target, leaving nothing but a memory in the shadows.
