CRYPTO specializes in secrets. A brilliant hacker and encryption expert, he uses aerial drones to spy on his opponents without being seen. When the GI Joe team is on a mission, it is crucial that they keep in contact with each other and with their base of operations. Vital information, delivered and transmitted clearly and quickly, can make the difference between a successful mission against Cobra, and one that ends badly. Communications specialists are there to operate and repair every piece of equipment that gathers, transmits, and replays information, including radios, computers, and more. Communication specialists study the guts of these machines to know how they work, learn their optimal uses in various situations, and develop their skills to patch them up and rig them for unconventional scenarios that require unique solutions.

History

When Timmy H. Stanley was a boy in Aberdeen, Maryland, in 2001, all he wanted to be when he grew up was an Autobot. As he got older, he switched his hero worship to G.I. Joe, learning everything he could about them and studying hard to graduate at the top of his class as U.S. Army Signal School after he enlisted. Becoming an Information Technology Specialist, SPC Stanley eventually caught the attention of G.I. Joe, and was accepted into their Greenshirt Communications program.

MUX History:

In 2021, Specialist Stanley traveled to Nebulos with G.I. Joe.

Timmy was supposed to get married on January 15th, 2022, but the wedding had to be postponed since he was deployed off-planet.

In 2022, Timmy was finally given a codename: Crypto.

In 2023, Crypto was reassigned to the Pit.

OOC Notes

  • Timmy's assigned codename is Greenshirt Communications 11480.

Sci-Fi proposed Timmy's temporary codename be "Captain Awesome." The suggestion has not been approved by Hawk. Sci-Fi later proposed "Mailman," because Stanley 'delivers.'

  • Timmy uses an iPhone.
  • Timmy has a partner, Luke. They were planning on getting married in August of 2021, but the mission to Nebulos came up. So, they plan to get married as soon as Timmy gets back to Earth. They also recently purchased a new car together, a 2021 Toyota RAV4.
  • Timmy's Greenshirt friends in Nebulos include the following troops:
