War is a messy business and a component of it has been the involvement of chemical warfare. The enemy is not afraid to use toxic weapons as part of their campaign and some of the chemicals used have a great persistence to stick around the area of effect. Clean-Sweep feels more than just a sense of duty to sanitize the affected area of any lingering presence of the lethal agents. To him, it is an obligation when these same chemicals start affecting the environment. To this end, he has compiled an extensive array of data in identifying the chemicals used and the counter-agents for neutralization. And when Cobra has started using toxic sludge weapons en masse, he has decided to declare war.

History

A Real American Hero comics continuity

The Eco-Warriors were formed to stop threats to the environment. In their first assignment with the Joes, Clean-Sweep and Ozone were lead by Flint, who was temporarily reassigned. The three Joes had to stop former a Cobra agent, Cesspool, from polluting the ocean using toxic chemicals and an abandoned oil platform. Flint left the team shortly thereafter. The Eco-Warriors' subsequent missions remain classified.

MUX History

In 2018 at the Pit, Clean-Sweep was called over to a parked Skystorm by a Dire Wraith posing as Windmill. When Clean-Sweep entered the Skystorm, he was immediately killed by Volx, who sucked out his memories and temporarily replaced him.
