The Expansions in TEPPEN are major updates which usually involve the addition of a brand new card set, Hero, mechanics, among other things.

• Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Felyne and its expansion were announced in an unusual manner.^[4]
• All flavor texts in the Adventures of a Tiny Hero expansion are on the perspective of Felyne, this is the only expansion that has done such a thing.
• When The Tale of Amatsu no Kuni released, the Night's Butterfly Morrigan skin was unobtainable, it was only seen during Amaterasu's Hero Story. The skin first became available on October 15, 2020 via the TEPPEN SPECIAL PACK 3 and afterwards with subsequent promotional packs.
• The Tale of Amatsu no Kuni and The Battle of Amatsu no Kuni are the only expansions where all cards added were based on the Ōkami and Sengoku BASARA series.
  • Dragons of War is another expansion which only features cards based on the Breath of Fire, Monster Hunter and Mega Man series.
• Starting from Ace vs. The People, every subsequent expansion did not add a new Hero. This expansion also included the Standard and Unlimited gameplay formats.
  • Standard (S) is a format primarily used in Ranked Match that only allows decks with Basic Cards, CORE cards, and cards from the lastest four expansions. Sometimes one or more of the older card sets are also allowed for a limited time.
  • Unlimited (∞) is a format without restrictions that is allowed in most modes.
• Island of Fear was the first expansion where a cinematic trailer was not released to promote it.
