Kaidou ｢カイドウ, kaidō｣ is the captain of the guards of Dwargon, and Kaijin's younger brother.

Story
When he was on his guard duty, Kaidou one day witnessed a large amount of people outside the entrance of Dwargon falling into panic or even falling unconscious. He traced the source of the incident to a Slime and his Hobgoblin companion, Rimuru and Gobta. Kaidou followed his duty and arrested the suspects.
After investigating the incident, Kaidou came to the conclusion that Rimuru and Gobta can be released, however due to procedures he had to question them for longer, so Kaidou and Rimuru killed time by making up a fantastical background story for Rimuru about being a human girl talented in magic that got captured by an Evil Wizard that put a curse on her that turned her into a Slime and that the Slime then went on a journey to lift the curse. When news came that the three Dwarven Brothers Garm, Dord and Myrd got heavily wounded by an Armorsaurus, Kaidou showed that he already trusted Rimuru at that point, accepting the potion Rimuru offered Kaidou without Kaidou doubting him despite objections of his subordinates. Kaidou's trust paid off and the lives and future careers of the Three Dwarven Brothers got saved thanks to the potions as without them even if they survived, their injuries might have made them unable to work. The Three Dwarven Brothers personally thanked Rimuru and left.
Afterwards, Kaidou released Rimuru and Gobta. Kaidou, in exchange for taking Rimuru to a good blacksmith and thoroughly explaining the currency and its value for a wide range of different products, bought more potion off Rimuru for a quite cheap price, as Kaidou noticed that the potion was extraordinarily effective, an actual Full Potion. Kaidou then introduced Rimuru to one of the best blacksmiths of Dwargon, his brother Kaijin, and then left.
They met again when Kaidou had to arrest Kaijin, Rimuru and the Three Dwarven Brothers after Kaijin had hit Vesta in the face at the Night Butterfly cabaret club. After the trial ended and the group was exiled, Kaidou saw the group off and wished them farewell.
Upon Tempest's delegation, led by Rimuru himself, arrived in Dwargon for the public declaration of friendship, Kaidou got dumbstruck by the fact that Rimuru appeared in the shape of a human girl, making him wonder if Rimuru's fabricated story of being cursed by an Evil Wizard wasn't perhaps correct, though Kaijin quickly denied it.
The night before leaving, Rimuru invited Kaidou to have fun and relax in the Night Butterfly cabaret club.
