Edelweiss is a move used by Emilie De Rochefort since Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection and later Sebastian in Tekken Tag Tournament 2.
Description
The user performs a low leg sweep with their right leg.
Usage
Since Tekken 6, the move will cause a knockdown launch on hit, allowing the player to go for a juggle. The move has undergone a few changes; in Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection and Tekken Tag Tournament 2, the move is a counter hit launcher that leaves the opponent standing but in a vulnerable recovery state on hit, while Sebastian is exempt from this as his version will always cause the launch.
As of Tekken 7, the attack will always cause a launch on hit, but the attack is much slower compared to its previous iterations making it far more telegraphed and easy to react to, as a successful block will lead to a stagger for Lili leaving her at a major disadvantage. To compensate, the move has homing properties and can crush high attacks, and it can also be done from Dew Glide via the same input.
In Tekken 8, the move will cause a tornado stun on hit, which was a universal change to all low launchers to limit its combo possibilities.
