Pegas

Pegas (ペガス, Pegasu) is a giant robot equipped with the Tek-Set System from the anime Space Knight Tekkaman.

Overview

Developed by Director Amachi over three years, Pegas possesses artificial intelligence and can communicate verbally. It has a special compartment called the "Setter Room" (セッタールーム, Settā Rūmu) located in its legs, where a person can enter and undergo the transformation into Tekkaman. After transforming, the Tekkaman emerges through a hatch on Pegas' back.

In battle, Pegas functions as a "steed" for the Tekkaman, with its main thrusters located in its fingers. Despite this, its legs and hands still function normally. Pegas can even exit the atmosphere alone, though this feature is rarely used outside of emergencies. At one point, it was coated with a special barrier to protect against an enemy called Ganira.

In episode 23, Pegas performed a life-saving procedure on Tekkaman after he fell into a near-death state from overusing the Voltekka attack. This, however, pushed Pegas beyond its limits, causing significant damage. Thanks to the efforts of Director Amachi, Pegas was repaired and upgraded with a new Tek-Set System, allowing it to return to action as a key member of the Space Knights.
