Yendip was the capitol city of the planet Yquatine, and, therefore, of the entire Minerva system. As such, it was an intensely, almost fiercely, cosmopolitan city, whose inhabitants were from widely differing species.
It was located on the eastern coast of the Julianis continent, and was a harbour bounded on one side by an ocean, and inland by Lake Yendip, wherein lay the Palace of Yquatine, the actual seat of power for the Minervan system.
One of its more infamous districts was the seaside Pierhaven, a nest of social activity both illicit and respectable. (PROSE: The Fall of Yquatine)
