In 1958, during the Cold War, Colonel Stark of the US Army observed "the Reds are sitting on a thousand nukes, and everyone of them has Uncle Sam's name on it." (TV: Dreamland)
In 1959, CIA agent Jerome Weismuller claimed that a radio destroyed by Gavrok of the Bannerman was "property of Uncle Sam", to which Gavrok asked where their uncle Sam was as Hawk attempted to correct him. (TV: Delta and the Bannermen)
In 2008, before ordering his death at the hands of the Toclafane, The Master addressed American President Arthur Coleman Winters as "Uncle Sam". (TV: The Sound of Drums)
