Philetes was a nechronomancer during the War in Heaven who was involved in the voyage of The Brakespeare. They were loomed in a small newblood Great House during preparations for the Fifth Wave; errors in the weft left them with clubfoot that recurred across regenerations.
Philetes said they served as a "relatively unimportant navigational adjunct" aboard The Brakespeare. A Committee note speculated that they may have been minimising their responsibility in regard to The Brakespeare disaster. (PROSE: The Brakespeare Voyage)
