The Odeonplatz was a square in the German city of Munich.
On 9 November 1923, the Odeonplatz was the site of the Beer Hall Putsch, where the NSDAP led by Adolf Hitler attempted to storm the German War Office and topple the Weimar Republic. The area was left damaged by police bullet holes and craters left by bombs in the road. One crater was created by the Seventh Doctor's companion Ace, using as canister of nitro-9a to try to assassinate Hitler, while further damage was inflicted by the War Chief nearby.
