The Mount Usu duel was a katana battle between Chris Cwej and Michael Brookhaven which, due to the influence of the GCI processor, took the form of a deleted scene in Mujun: The Ghost Kingdom.
The scene begins with Brookhaven defeating Cwej handily, being about to execute him when the volcano, Mount Usu, shudders. An Ainu God appeared, though its presence on the film is one of negative space - there being nothing in particular representing its presence. A voice emanates, mentioning a younger world, stolen futures, and that the six performers in this movie need to be re-costumed. Brookhaven refuses to accept defeat and forces his way towards the God, katana in hand, as the volcano continues to shudder. At the last moment, the camera flickers away, closing on a shot of the God practically swallowing Brookhaven whole, something surging up from the volcano, and Brookhaven standing betwixt them defiant. The rest of the movie continues as the script dictated originally.
This deleted scene was never officially screened, and the Hollywood Bowl shooting and disappearance of Michael Brookhaven symbolized the effective end of Faction Hollywood. (PROSE: The Book of the War)
