Michael Pinder (born 10 March 1940[1]) played Hopkins in the Doctor Who television story Planet of the Spiders.
Pinder was the real life owner of the hovercraft used in Planet of the Spiders, and was subsequently awarded the role of Hopkins. He also doubled for Jon Pertwee in various scenes of the Third Doctor driving the hovercraft. (INFO: Planet of the Spiders) His appearance in Doctor Who was his only known acting credit.
