The Ixiptla was a person chosen to incarnate a God by the Royal Court in Mexica culture. In every sense that matters they were considered to be the God itself for a short period of time. Momacani became the Ixiptla of Huitzilopochtli in the lead to the New Fire Ceremony. (PROSE: Against Nature)
