The golden beam was a type of gold-infused particle beam which was devised and utilised by the crew of the USS Enterprise-D to impair Cybermen. After the beam had disabled all Cybermen aboard the flagship, saving the Eleventh Doctor and Jean-Luc Picard's group, the Enterprise warped away.
