Cholan Merchandani, (PROSE: The Star Beast) also known by the nickname Fudge, was a friend of Rose Noble.
During the November 2023 UFO incident, (PROSE: The Star Beast [+]Gary Russell, adapted from The Star Beast (Russell T Davies), 60th Anniversary Novels (Target Books, 2023).) Fudge told Rose about the escape pod that crashed in a nearby park. Later, whilst on the phone, he was frightened away by Wrarth Warrior Zogroth and Zreeg. He also bore witness to the damage cased by the Meep activating the Meep's Dagger Drive. - Fudge shares his name with Fudge Higgins, a character from the original comic strip version of The Star Beast. Unlike his comic strip namesake, Fudge Merchandani only has a minor role in the story, and does not encounter the Doctor.
