Ewen Solon (7 September 1917-7 July 1985[1]) appeared in two Doctor Who television stories: as Chal in The Savages and Vishinsky in Planet of Evil.
He was also considered for the roles of Ike Clanton and Virgil Earp in The Gunfighters. (TCH 7)

He was best known for playing Lucas in Maigret.
