David Boyle was a fan of Doctor Who and a dedicated UFO researcher, who ran the Doctor Who Experience Llangollen between 1994 and 2003, and the Doctor Who Exhibition Blackpool between 2004 and 2009.
He owned a replica of Bessie, and was regularly seen driving it at club days and events close to his home near Blackpool on the Fylde coast.
David passed away in 2019 at the age of 71 at Blackpool Victoria Hospital. He was transported to his funeral in a Tardis-shaped coffin.[1]
He was also the founder of Dapol, which produced a range of Doctor Who toys between 1988 and 2001.
