On Tuesday, 21 March 2011, Rex Matheson left the hospital to begin investigating Torchwood himself. He took a plane from Washington to Heathrow, and drove through Severn Bridge to get to Gwen Cooper's house in Wales. When a helicopter full of gunmen attacked, Jack Harkness arrived and Gwen destroyed the vehicle with a bazooka. When the team got back to their old base location of Roald Dahl Plass at 10pm, Rex used a rendition to "extradite" Torchwood to the United States of America.
