Theron Shan is the son of Jedi Master Satele Shan and a descendant of Bastila Shan. Despite his heritage, he is not a Jedi, but a Republic spy. Theron is the main character in The Lost Suns comics and the Annihilation novel. He first appears in Star Wars: The Old Republic in Shadow of Revan and is one of the main romanceable companions from that expansion onwards.

Background

Theron Shan was a Human male who served the Galactic Republic as a field agent for the Republic Strategic Information Service during the Cold War against the Sith Empire. Born to Satele Shan and Jace Malcom, Theron was only aware of his mother throughout childhood, and considered Ngani Zho, the man who raised him, as his father. He was removed from Jedi training after no trace of Force-sensitivity was detected within him, and instead sought employment in the SIS as a field agent.

He is a descendent of Revan and Bastila Shan.

Prelude

Theron first appears as he and Colonel Darok recruit the Republic player for an attack on the Sith Academy on Korriban. Following the attack it is discovered that the Empire has attacked the Jedi Temple on Tython. Theron dispatches the player to Tython to remove the Imperial presence. Some time after defeating the Empire on Tython, Theron contacts the player asking to meet in private on Carrick Station. At the meeting Theron reveals that even without the Force, he could sense there is something wrong with Colonel Darok and the whole operation. This combined with the message from Darth Arkous at the Jedi Temple only increased his suspicions. Theron decides to seek outside help to find out more about Darok and Arkous. He requests the player's help in his investigation and tells the player that as soon as he discovers anything he will be in contact.
