PK Freeze is Lucas' Neutral Special Move. Lucas fires a PSI-based snowflake into the air, charging up its power while the crystal hovers in the air. After the snowflake charges enough, it will explode, freezing anyone in the surrounding area, as well as harshly damaging the players who are hit.
It is also one of Ness' custom Neutral Special Moves in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U.
Overview
It acts very similarly to Ness' PK Flash. Lucas does not have to wait for the snowflake to charge completely, however, and can unleash its icy energy when the time seems right. Lucas will stop the attack if he gets hit, much like Ness will stop when attacked during his PK Flash. After using it in midair, Lucas will enter a helpless falling animation. Compared to PK Flash, PK Freeze travels much further and charges much faster. PK Freeze does gain slight power and the opponent stays frozen longer if PK Freeze is at its largest. At its smallest, the opponent is frozen for a shorter period of time.

Origin
PK Freeze (originally from EarthBound Beginnings) is an offensive PSI attack that causes damage to one foe, but in later power levels it can deal critical HP damage to enemy or target multiple enemies at once. But in EarthBound, PSI Freeze at later power levels it can actually freeze them completely, making enemies miss some of their turns (depending on the enemy). Also like Ness, this technique is a perfect example of PSI techniques being "borrowed" by Super Smash Bros. characters. In Mother 3, Lucas cannot use PK Freeze, but a character named Kumatora can.
