Mimikyu (ミミッキュ? Mimikkyu in Japan) is one of the Pokémon that is set to appear from a Poké Ball in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

When Mimikyu is summoned, it will use its Z-Move "Let's Snuggle Forever", in which he pulls nearby fighters into its disguise and deal damage to them. If the opponent has at least 90% damage when the attack ends, the player is instantly KO’d.
Origins
Mimikyu is a Ghost/Fairy type Pokémon that was first introduced in Generation VII. In Pokémon Sun and Moon and Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, Mimikyu is the one of the Totem Pokémon of Ula'ula Island.
Appearance wise, it is a short Pokemon who hides under a Pikachu-shaped rag, albeit poorly designed.
Mimikyu is lonely and rarely seen without its disguise, its true appearance unknown. Multiple Pokedex entries state that seeing its true form will cause a mysterious illness or even a painful death. Due to this, Mimikyu will become agitated and violently stop anyone from attempting to look underneath its rag. Mimikyu's disguise is modeled after Pikachu because of the popularity of Pikachu-styled merchandise, thinking that its disguise would allow it to make friends with people(the only exception is Jessie's Mimikyu from the anime, who had a unexplainable grudge towards Pikachu). Unfortunately, this attempt makes its disguise look more creepy.
The rag it wears allows Mimikyu to avoid attacks using its signature disguise ability, which stops a single attack from hurting it and changing it into its Busted from, where the head of the puppet In this state, it will spend all night patching it in front of a mirror as if its life depends on it, which is often difficult for Mimikyu, so it cries a lot on the inside. It will also seek revenge on the one that damaged it, fearing that its true identity could have been exposed, being so unforgiving that it will take down the culprit to the point of costing its life in the process.
Its sad backstory has won the hearts of fans and critics, alike, being able to place 3rd for the Google Pokemon of the Year poll in 2020, behind Lucario and Greninja (who won 2nd and 1st place respectively), and the most popular Gen VII Pokemon. It later lost both titles to Sableye and Buzzwole respectively in a Japan exclusive 2021 edition, dropping to 19th and 2nd place respectively.
Let's Snuggle Forever is a Z-Move, akin to Malicious Moonsault, which is exclusive to Mimikyu who know Play Rough and are equipped with a Mimikium Z. Unlike its depiction in Smash, it initiates the move by jumping on its opponent instead of grabbing them.
