Japan (日本 Nippon or Nihon?) is a constitutional monarchy located on a group of islands in East Asia, and a recurring country in the Street Fighter series. Many fighters hail from Japan, with Ryu being the most iconic and recurring one. Japan has been the sight of various battles because of the amount of fighters from it. In fact, Japan has been featured in every Street Fighter game thus far (due to Ryu's reappearance in every game). The capital and largest city is Tokyo. The official language is Japanese.
