The Algira System is a system located in the Algira Sector of the Alpha Quadrant.
System Description
The colony at Algira Prime is isolated by a thick asteroid belt. The high levels of kelbonite and fistrium in the belt blocks subspace communications, and most ships tend to avoid the area. The Bajoran Ministry of Commerce offers a premium to transport ships that will brave the risks to keep the Algira colonists supplied and connected to the rest of the quadrant.
Missions formerly involved
- “Forging Bonds”: The player comes here to protect trade routes. On arrival, the S.S. Batris is under attack by several True Way vessels. It turns out, that the True Way has annexed the system and uses the colony on Algira Prime as a staging ground to mass produce starship components. When sabotaging the facility, the player interrupts negotiations between the Alpha Jem'Hadar and the True Way to form a new Dominion.
